See how we tucked some great technology into a beautiful museum.
The Wiregrass Museum of Art is not only a beautiful venue for fine arts in the Dothan area, it also has certain areas that can be rented for business conferences, parties and meetings.
They wanted to add an audio/video system to use during presentations and conferences. And it has to be easy to use. See how it turned out…
The system would be installed in plain sight, and included a video projector, Blu-Ray player, cable receiver, presentation PC capability and a wireless microphone. The system had to look elegant and be easy to control.

CHALLENGE- The system must be able to mix audio from any of the video sources with microphone audio. We chose to use a rack mount digital mixer completely controllable from a touch panel. |

AUDIO We installed Klipsch speakers along the length of the room, close enough together for nice even coverage. Note the speakers are marked by the green arrows in the picture to the left. One pair of speakers is out of the picture. VIDEO The projector mounted perfectly and blends well into the room. Note the speaker marked by the blue arrow. |

The high tech additions blend well with the old world charm of this historic structure. ![]() |

CONTROL A 4” Crestron touch panel provides simple, intuitive control. It is critical that the system is easy to operate. |

EXPANDABLE Most importantly, the system has to be expandable over time. And there are numerous options: an iPod doc for music and videos, automatic HVAC control, pervasive lighting control, additional music and video zones, wireless control via iTouch and iPad, security camera integration and security system control. But its easy to dream up other possibilities. The system could conduct guided tours, provide interactive displays for each exhibit and kiosks for each exhibit area. The possibilities are endless. |
The installation looks fantastic and works great..
We love what we do.
